Bonding & White Fillings

Dental cosmetic tooth bonding is a quick, easy, and relatively inexpensive way to achieve dramatic improvement in your smile.

One of the top cosmetic dentists in Harrison and Westchester, Dr. Polevoy uses bondings to fix broken edges of teeth, close spaces, change the color of teeth, or replace old and decaying silver fillings.

A bonding is a composite resin that is used as an alternative to amalgams and veneers.   Less expensive than dental veneers and great for patients who do not want silver in their mouths, the bonding procedure can normally be completed in one visit.

In the hands of a skilled cosmetic dentist, the tooth looks completely natural.

What is the difference between dental bondings and dental veneers?

A dental bonding is a composite resin material that is glued (bonded) to the tooth.  Dental veneer is made of porcelain.  Cosmetic dentists use dental bonding when the tooth is a good position, and a slight change to color or shape is required.  Dental veneers can achieve a lot more.

Which one is better, bondings or veneers?

Bondings are plastic, and will discolor with time, and veneers will not.  For this and other reasons, they may have to be replaced more frequently.  However, they are also 3 to 4 times less expensive.   Depending on your situation, Dr. Polevoy will recommend a cosmetic dentistry solution that is right for you.
